Very excited to share my new weekly blog post called The Weekly Edit. This will include but not limited to a look into my life, trends I’m loving or not loving so much, things/beauty products/clothing worth mentioning, looks of that week, and product reviews. This has been a long time coming! I’m embarrassed to say I had my draft of this post written at the end of June (!!) but then life 🙂 Moving on to the fun..
My living room design
I made this room design for our living room soon after we moved in and changed the accent chairs and ottomans at least a ton of times. Weird (not so good) habit of mine I don’t like to start on a new room or refresh if I don’t have everything. I can officially say I have everything..well except the side table which I think won’t fit anyway and this one is also sold out (I found a very similar one.) Here are the two finalists of my room designs I went between. I chose to go with the one including the round ottomans because the coffee table is also square. I’m currently working on the artwork for the walls with the boys. Hoping to share that process in another post.
Review worthy products
Sharing some products I’m loving right now. Let’s start with Rare Beauty mascara: I kid you not might be my new favorite! Adds both volume and length without having to do like 20 strokes or a ton of coats, it also doesn’t clump or have a weird scent either. Really going between this one and my previous fave Benefit badgal BANG. Another recent beauty fave is the TULA protect & glow daily sunscreen. Gives the prettiest glow, perfect for Summer, a tropical vacation, or even everyday. Wears beautiful alone or underneath makeup. Moving on to the vetiver and amber scented method hand wash: think fancy hotel. Apparently smells just like Le Labo Santal 33. Next up is the Casamigos Cucumber Chile margarita mix that I was influenced to try. The best bottled margarita mix I’ve tried so far, it taste like it was freshly made and the spice level is no where near too much. Honestly on the pricier side but it’s def worth it when hosting or just wanting to enjoy an actual great tasting, quick at home margarita. I used hot honey and Tajin for my rim and it was perfection. I learned that only William Sonoma carries this margarita mix and apparently the Grapefruit Paloma flavored one is the number 2 sold premade mix across their company. Side note finding this gem opened a whole new world for me with William Sonoma. So many goods!
Until next week!
