SHACKETS
The latest of them all: Shackets! A shacket is a loose fit mix of a shirt and a lightweight jacket, normally open with buttons or snaps. I took a poll on my Instagram asking if the ladies were feeling this trend and about 80% said yes and I agree! I just haven’t purchased one yet and honestly don’t want to pay $60 for one haha! I’ve seen it paired with leggings and combat boots and even a leather mini skirt.
LEATHER
My mom is obsessed with leather and wore it back in her day, I definitely see why this trend is back in full force! I’ve always thought leather was sexy, cool, and classy depending on the piece. I love pairing leather with sweaters, whether it be leather shorts, pants, leggings or joggers. Leather tops look best with jeans in my opinion but it’s fashion have fun with it! This has to be my favorite trend at the moment!
COMBAT BOOTS
This one is a major one right now and I believe will be transitioning into winter just fine. I remember years ago combat boots were my go to when I went out but wanted to be comfortable and still look put together. These days the combat boots in seeing are GORGEOUS! So many options with snakeskin, jewels, buckles, studs, white stitching and lugged heals.
SHOULDER DRAMA
Give me all the drama, shoulder drama that is! Didn’t think I would like this one as much as I do. Though some of these tops can be VERY dramatic they still make an outfit look classy and put together.
ANIMAL PRINT
Animal print has been trending for some seasons now and looks like it will be sticking around. Such an easy way to add pop to any outfit. I love animal print skirts and shorts, these can be paired with a knotted tee, a graphic tee, or sweater. When it comes to animal print tops and dresses I like to keep it simple, everything else black (mostly) or white. Leopard dress with black Moto jacket and black booties or leopard sweater with black leggings or jeans and black boots or booties.
FLORAL PRINT
This one is so feminine and romantic! When I think floral I think of dresses and skirts dressed up with heels, dressed down with white or neutral sneakers, or spunked up with black or white combat boots. My favorite duo is a long flowy floral dresses with knee high camel/taupe slouchy boots. I’ll be honest I haven’t worn much of this fall trend because I feel like it’s perfect for date night which sadly I haven’t been on one in forever!
